Assalamualaikum! Yeay, finally I’m
return after not writing for ages!
I’m afraid if there is spider’s web on
my blog! :D
Alhamdulillaah, insyAllah I write in
much better condition now for I’ve been taken and am pregnant! I have 5.5-month
little baby in my belly right now, Alhamdulillah! ^^v
Okay, the thing I wanna share here is actually
about my new environment now. If before I always lived in a specific site in a
city that we usually call komplek,
now I live in a little country in Kabupaten Pati, namely Tapen. To live in
significantly different place does need such good adjustment. You have to cheer
up yourself whenever you can’t find something here where you can find it very
easily in a city. Okay, that’s just an example. Here are the explanations I
wanna tell you!
In my previous environment, in Kudus
or Jepara, I always live in individual neighborhood. No one cares where you
will go, what are you doing, etc. But in my today society, people will always
ask you where you will go whenever you step out from your house. Or even when
you only walk to a little shop to buy your daily needs, people whom you meet on
street will ask you, “Blonjo, dik?” (Do
you want to go shopping?). And of course you should answer the question. That’s
the first point.
The second one is, I think the primary
tips to survive live in a country are to smile and to greet everyone, even
though you don’t know who the person you smile at or greet. I am not joking
about this point. If you don’t do this tip as a new comer in a country, don’t
wonder if people all around the country will gossip you! They will find you as
an arrogant person! ^^,
The third point, don’t hope to be able
to keep a secret safely. In a country like Tapen, everyone will know every
single thing you do! For example when my husband and I bought a new closet and
place this in our living room, one of our neighbors accidentally asked me about
the GREEN closet we placed in living room the day later. Yes, GREEN. She even
knows the color of our new closet though we bought this in the dark evening. Oh
my…
The fourth point, don’t be surprised when
someone in a country holds an event. Even just RTnan (a neighborhood association), people will make hundreds
snacks! The habit here is, when someone has an event, the neighbors will come
to help out, which we call as ngalong.
Here, there is no one who just order snacks in a catering like most people in a
city do, no. All of the snacks are mostly made by themselves. The first time I
joined ngalong, the snacks made were
about 200 packs, and each pack consists of 5 different snack! Can you imagine
that? I guess I was almost fainted at that time, really.
I think those are the main unique
points I find as a new comer in this country. Though, I also should tell you
that the hospitality of the people here is awesome! I’m so thankful to
experience this situation. This is like a great thing that I’ve never found
before! To meet new people who are so friendly, kindhearted, and nice to you is
a kind of blessings I think. My husband said, I have got along with them and
done a great adjustment! Yeay! ;)
